Speaker Bio

Erin is NRMC’s former Director of Consulting Services who is now supporting our mission as an independent contractor. During her six-year stint as an NRMC staff member, Erin led and supported a wide array of consulting projects for NRMC’s nonprofit, public entity, and insurance industry clients. Her experience includes conducting Enterprise Risk Assessments to help executive, board, and staff teams identify, understand, and manage the risks they face. Erin also coached nonprofit executives and staff teams on internal risk assessment and risk reporting techniques. She delivered in-person and online training on trending risk topics and developed risk education resources including infographics, whiteboard animation videos, articles, and webinars.

Erin is especially drawn to supporting nonprofits and NGOs focused on human/environmental health and human rights. During Erin’s tenure at NRMC, she earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) and an international development graduate certificate at Virginia Tech. Erin enjoyed teaching undergraduate public speaking classes at Virginia Tech, where she previously earned a B.A. in Communication.

Aside from pursuing her professional goals, Erin seeks out learning and risk-taking in her personal life—with her dog Hugo at her side. So far she has skydived, spray-painted a mural in Paris, developed a camping addiction, spotted a mountain goat in the Swiss Alps, and even danced in Trinidad & Tobago’s 2013 Carnival. Erin aspires to continue taking bold risks that offer her a big ROI, all while helping great nonprofits achieve their missions.
