Jesse Raben serves as General Counsel of The Common Application in Arlington, Virginia. He previously served as in-house counsel with the American Psychological Association. At the Common App Jesse focuses on a wide variety of legal risks including IP, internet privacy, cyber security and technology, contracts, corporate governance, compliance, tax and general business and legal risk management. Prior to his service at APA Jesse owned and operated an internet company in the late 1990’s. In 1994, Jesse clerked for the Supreme Court of Hawaii and worked pro bono for an environmental watchdog group in Israel, before working as an associate at two large DC law firms. Jesse is a graduate Fellow from the ACC/NCR Leadership Academy and Lead Chair of the American Corporate Counsel National Capital Region Non-Profit Forum. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University and his B.A. from Tufts University. Jesse is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and Virginia Bar as Corporate Counsel.
