Keith Styles is Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA), the national office of one of America’s largest networks of social services providers. He oversees CCUSA’s operations and all efforts concerning finance, communications, business affairs, contracting, convening and administration. Keith is responsible for all of the organization’s legal affairs as well. He is a member of CCUSA’s three-person Executive Team and works closely with the Audit, Finance, Governance and Investment Committees of CCUSA’s Board of Trustees, and helped establish the CCUSA donor-advised fund. Keith serves as the Trust Administrator of the CCUSA Employee Welfare Benefit Trust, which has over 4,000 participants. He also is responsible for the operations of 2050 Ballenger, LLC, which owns the commercial building that houses CCUSA’s offices and other tenants.
Before joining CCUSA, Keith was a partner at Arent Fox LLP and was the practice group leader of the firm’s national real estate group. He served as the managing partner of the Washington, DC office of Robins Kaplan LLP and as co-chair of the firm’s Business Department. During his thirty-one years in private law practice, Keith focused on complex debt and equity financings, joint ventures, real estate development, governance and general business counseling to senior management and boards of a wide range of for-profit and nonprofit clients.
Keith received his juris doctor from Georgetown University and graduated cum laude from Yale University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in political science with distinction in the major. He is a member of the President’s Council of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties in Virginia.
