Speaker Bio
Matt Wilson is the Chief Information Security Advisor for BTB, based in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Matt has spent his entire career in Information Technology and has over 15 years of experience within Information Security. Throughout his career Matt has fostered the development of assessment methodologies, toolsets, and techniques for the delivery of security assessments, penetration testing, application assessments, compliance assessments, security awareness trainings, and policy review and development. More recently, Matt has been actively engaged in the continued maturation of BTB’s CISO Advisory Practice and RADAR Managed Detection & Response service.
Matt performs as a trusted advisor at many organizations, representing nearly every vertical, providing guidance on the implementation of controls to improve their security posture. By translating security requirements and leading practices into actionable objectives, Matt enables organizations to implement reasonable safeguards that align with business goals. He regularly provides value-add services in support of audit, compliance, and information security initiatives.
Organizations thrive through effective risk management. By actively engaging our customers and working with both BTB’s Service Delivery team and Threat Operations, Matt continues to deepen his skill-set and gain unique insight into advanced attacker techniques, the disruption of active attacks, and incident response. This allows Matt to provide valuable recommendations based upon “real-world” experience. He also routinely assists clients with understanding regulatory compliance risks and builds practical roadmaps that allow clients to mature their environments.
